Instrument Building
It only takes time, many frustrations, lots of persistency and a little help. I dream of a world where the harp is more widely available, easier and cheaper to build or obtain and not just something for the elite. My goal is to build low budget instruments with high sound quality for beginning musicians and teach my students how to make their own instrument. I experiment a lot with new materials and techniques and shapes, resulting in unique instruments.
Surf Bass
The Surf Bass has 3 bow harps made from aluminum tubes constructed onto the boom of a surf board. The Surf Bass is designed to work in music therapy sessions, esspecially for multiple disabled people. This project was commissioned by Michael de Ridder who organises creative activity weeks for these people. More info at www.deridder.nu.
Harp building

This harp had a soundboard of triplex resulting in a poor sound. So I took it apart and builded a new one out of Norway spruce, which took me all summer. Now the soundbox has been reconstructed, she will soon be finshed.
